Parthenon 2004 is an exciting campaign based around a demand that the UK government make a commitment to return the Parthenon Marbles back to their rightful home at the foot of the Parthenon in Athens.

This campaign pack contains information and ideas on how you can learn at school about the Parthenon Marbles, and the campaign for their return to Greece. It includes the following:
Suggestions for classroom activities
Arguments for the return of the Parthenon Marbles to Athens
An example letter for children to British MP’s
A standard petition form

You will need a copy of Adobe Acrobat to view some pages.

You can also download the entire campaign pack from here.

I very much hope that you and your class will want to take part in this campaign, and that you too appreciate the importance of Britain being consistent and honourable in its approach to cultural heritage.

Please let me know what activities you do in class, and don’t hesitate to make contact if you need any more help, advice or information – just email [email protected].
